2022 Board of Directors Annual Report
Thaine Robinson – Board Chair

As many of you know, Shane Berger, President and CEO, retired at the end of the year. We sincerely thank Shane for his 37 years of dedication to Beehive Federal Credit Union. The current state of Beehive largely comes from his leadership. The Administration Building now has a new name. It is now the “Shane B. Berger Administration Building.” Shane has left his legacy on us, and this is a small token of our appreciation to him. Thank you, Shane. We are sorry to see Shane go, but are confident about our future under the direction of Craig Gummow, our new President and CEO.

As we ended the 2021 calendar year, it was a replication of 2020 with our attentions from the Covid pandemic in our lives. However, the state of Beehive remains healthy and financially stable. We ended the year with $499.8 million in assets. This is an increase of 25 percent from the 2020 year-end. This growth is slightly faster than anticipated, but some of the increase was a result of federal stimulus payments to members. Be assured Beehive’s mission continues to be anchored in responsible, conservative financial decisions.

We also ended the year with 34,479 members. The Board of Directors would like to thank every member for your commitment and trust in your Credit Union with your financial needs. All of us working in conjunction will keep us not only financially stable, but it sets us apart from all the other financial institutions.

As you all know from your interactions with Beehive, there is something differentiating us from other credit unions and banks. It is the “Beehive Culture.” It is the “Soul of Beehive.” You are Beehive’s number one and most important member when you need help. This philosophy is how you are treated by the employees who are more than happy to help with any of your needs. We want to thank the staff for not only what they do, but more importantly, how they do it.

We thank all of you again for helping us be an exceptional financial institution. We are continually looking for ways to improve and add services for you. Our number one concern before making any decision is how it affects you, the member. We wish for you a very successful and safe upcoming year.
