Fraud in 2024: What You Need to Know

The rise of AI-driven scams and impersonation fraud has made it more difficult than ever to spot a fake. Here’s what we saw in 2024:

  • Fake calls and texts claiming to be legitimate organizations
  • AI-driven scams are more sophisticated, using real personal details to build trust and deceive victims.
  • Young adults (18–34) are especially vulnerable, often targeted with urgent, fear-based scams that pressure quick action.

How We're Protecting You

  • Encouraging Call-Back Verification – We advise members to hang up and call Beehive directly at 208-656-1000 to verify any suspicious calls.
  • Security Code Warnings – Our system alerts members that Beehive will never ask for their security codes over phone or text.
  • Strengthening Scam Awareness – We educate members on how AI-driven fraudsters use personal details to appear legitimate.

What You Can Do

  • Never share your Beehive security code or online credentials with anyone.
  • If you’re pressured to act immediately—STOP. Call us first.
  • If someone instructs you to lie about a transaction, it’s a scam
