Dear Beehive members,
I recognize many of you were affected as the Credit Union’s digital services were disrupted Monday. This came on the heels of a couple weeks of slow load times with our online services. I sincerely apologize for the disruption and impact this had on you personally.
The cause of yesterday’s problem originated a couple weeks ago when during a scheduled test of the Credit Union’s back-up power generator, a third-party partner caused a power surge that impacted key hardware. Beehive’s team worked diligently to keep systems running while new hardware was delivered and installed. Unfortunately, the most important piece of equipment arrived just hours after the system needed a full restoration, taking down our services.
Yesterday was not up to Beehive standards, and efforts are continuing to speed up online services. The Board of Directors recently approved a significant investment in the core technology that drives the Credit Union systems. We are eager to install and launch this tech specifically designed to speed up your clicks and provide enhanced failover redundancy in early 2025.
Thank you for being a member of Beehive Federal Credit Union.
